Executive team

In keeping with best practice governance processes, we have an Executive Committee of senior managers who are responsible for overseeing the operational activities and development of the company and implementing the strategy set by the Board.

ExCo is composed of the two members of the Board, together with the heads of all business-critical departments within our Group. ExCo meets monthly.

  • Kostyantin Zhevago Kostyantin Zhevago Chief Executive Officer

    Date of appointment

    Kostyantin Zhevago joined the Board as a Non-executive Director on 14 June 2007 and was appointed Chief Executive on 1 November 2008. He is ultimately the controlling shareholder of Ferrexpo. He has been a member of the Ukrainian Parliament since 1998.

    Background and experience

    Kostyantin is currently a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Law Policy. From 2002 until 2012 he was a member of the permanent delegation of the Ukrainian Parliament in the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council and a member of the Ukrainian faction of the Committee for Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union. He has previously served as chairman of the management board and deputy chairman of the supervisory board of CJSC Commercial Bank Finance and Credit (‘Bank F&C’). Between 1993 and 1996, he was financial director of F&C Group of companies. He was a non-executive director of New World Resources plc, a subsidiary of BXR Group Limited from 2009 until 24 February 2014. He graduated from the Kyiv State Economic University in 1996, specialising in international economics.

  • Nikolay Goroshko Nikolay Goroshko General Director, FYM

    Nikolay Goroshko joined FPM in 1984.

    Nikolay was Chief Financial Officer of FPM until April 2007 and Chief Commercial Officer in charge of the Group’s Growth Projects in December 2007. He became the Chief Financial Officer of FYM upon its formation in July 2008, and from 1 November 2012 the General Director of FYM. He is a graduate of the Kyiv Institute of National Economics, specialising in Industrial Planning.

  • Jason Keys Jason Keys Chief Marketing Officer

    Jason Keys joined Ferrexpo in July 2011.

    Jason held sales and marketing posts at Rio Tinto Coal and Iron Ore and at BHP Billiton Coal for 12 years, and then led BHP Billiton’s Iron Ore commercial marketing team for five years before joining Ferrexpo. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia and is a Certified Professional Accountant. In June 2014 he became a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

  • Nikolay Kladiev Nikolay Kladiev Chief Financial Officer, FPM

    Nikolay Kladiev joined the Ferrexpo Group in June 2005 and FPM in October 2007.

    Over the course of his career Nikolay Kladiev spent several years as an audit manager with Ernst & Young and CFO of a large Russian factory. He holds a Masters in International Economic Relations from the Kyiv National University of Economics.

  • Viktor Lotous Viktor Lotous Head of Managing Board and Chief Operating Officer, FPM

    Viktor Lotous joined FPM in 1986. He became chief engineer in 1997, and Head of Managing Board and Chief Operating Officer in April 2007. He is a graduate of Kryvyi Rih Mining and Ore Institute, and of the Kyiv State Economic University, specialising in Finance.

  • Chris Mawe Chris Mawe, FCA Chief Financial Officer

    Date of appointment

    Chris Mawe joined the Board on 7 January 2008.

    Background and experience

    Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in 1991, having gained a First Class Honours degree in Engineering. He has held senior financial positions for the past 16 years, first with IMI plc in both the UK and Europe, and then with Carclo plc as finance director. Before joining Ferrexpo he was finance director of UK Coal plc.

  • Greg Nortje Head of Human Resources

    Date of appointment

    Greg joined Ferrexpo in January 2014.

    Background and experience

    Greg held a variety of international Human Resource leadership positions with Anglo American and BHP Billiton before establishing his own human resources consultancy to a range of clients across the UK.  Particular specialisms include project management and business change execution, organisational effectiveness, talent management,  governance and compliance, and leadership development.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a post graduate Diploma in Education from the University of the Witwatersrand, together with advanced management qualifications from the University of Stellenbosch Business School and the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

  • Jim North Jim North Group Chief Operating Officer and Non-Executive Chairman of FBM

    Jim North joined Ferrexpo in November 2014. In February 2015 Jim was appointed the Non-Executive Chairman of Ferrexpo Belanovo Mining.

    He was previously Chief Operating Officer of London Mining plc, accountable for setting the operational and investment strategy for its operations and projects around the world. Prior to this he held a variety of senior operational management roles with Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and Mount Isa Mines, in Africa, South America and Australia, where he focused on general management, project development and operations improvement and turnaround, across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Coal, Base Metals and Aluminium.
